Sanwo-Olu Seeks Partnership with Turkish Construction Firm for Lekki-Epe Airport Project

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently led a delegation to Istanbul, Turkey, for a working visit with top executives from Summa International Construction Inc.

In a post shared on his official X.com account, Sanwo-Olu explained that the purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaboration on the development of the Lekki-Epe Airport project.

He stated, "During our visit to Istanbul, we met with executives from Summa Group, a major player in the construction industry. Our discussions revolved around the vision for the Lekki-Epe International Airport, which is expected to greatly enhance connectivity in Lagos and reduce pressure on the Murtala Mohammed International Airport."

The statement also mentioned that Summa International's Chairman, Selim Bora, gave the governor and his team a tour of the company's various projects, highlighting their expertise and commitment to quality infrastructure.

Sanwo-Olu further added, "Mr. Selim Bora, Chairman of Summa International, provided us with a comprehensive tour of their projects, demonstrating the company’s capabilities in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. As we consider potential collaboration on the airport project, we understand the significant impact it could have on our economy, from creating jobs to positioning Lagos as a premier hub for international travel and commerce."
