The Lagos State Government has commenced the demolition of unauthorized structures obstructing drainage systems and canals within the System 1 Drainage channel in Arowojobe Estate, Mende, Maryland.
This operation, which began on Friday, is being conducted by the Drainage Enforcement and Compliance team from the Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, in partnership with security agencies. The goal is to mitigate the risk of flooding in the area.
