President Tinubu Congratulates Donald Trump on U.S. Re-election, Envisions Stronger Nigeria-U.S. Partnership

On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.

President Tinubu conveyed his enthusiasm for enhancing the partnership between Nigeria and the United States, recognizing the complex global landscape that offers both challenges and opportunities.

The congratulatory message, shared through a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, was titled "President Tinubu Congratulates President-elect Trump."

In his message, Tinubu expressed, “Together, we have the potential to drive economic collaboration, encourage peace, and confront global challenges that impact our citizens." He highlighted that Trump's victory demonstrates the American people’s confidence in his leadership.

Tinubu also commended U.S. voters for their dedication to democratic values. "President Tinubu believes that with President Trump's prior experience as the 45th President of the United States, his return to office as the 47th President will pave the way for meaningful, mutually beneficial economic and developmental partnerships between Africa and the United States,” Onanuga added.
